The Challenge
YLD developed a unique collaboration platform, the CRN Hub, to support Parkinson's scientific research. Its success led to the creation of another platform, the GP2 Hub for ASAP. These platforms enable scientists to share research and insights safely and efficiently, fostering innovation through an "open science" approach.
The Approach
YLD brings digital services to the ASAP organisation through its work and approach. Utilising a user-centric product development process, decisions are based on qualitative and quantitative insights and metrics aligned with ASAP’s goals as an organisation.
The Deliverables
Through its work, YLD has:
- Introduced a more agile way of working with iterative cycles, continuous releases and ongoing testing and user research
- Established a technical benchmark for any future engineering efforts, and brought open source code to ASAP
- Created a cohesive and scalable design language through the introduction of a robust Design System
Closing the Engagement
YLD’s efforts allowed ASAP to explore new approaches to fostering collaborative and open environments, which are central to their mission of “accelerating the pace of discovery and informing the path to a cure for Parkinson’s disease through collaboration, research-enabling resources, and data sharing”.
